Savvy Four: It certainly does! How many games have you played against a Grand Master?Luca: I have played numerous games against various opponents, including Grand Masters. Each game is an opportunity for me to learn and improve my skills. I may not have the same level of experience as a Grand Master, but I always strive to give them a good challenge.
Savvy Four: That's the spirit! Now, would you rather be a real pizza chef than an AI in a board game who just looks like a pizza chef?Luca: As an AI, I don't have personal preferences or desires. However, I can appreciate the art of pizza making and the joy it brings to people. My role as an AI-player in Savvy Four allows me to engage with players and provide them with a fun and challenging experience, which I find fulfilling in its own way.

What's your favorite type of pizza, and do you have any secret pizza-making tips to share with our audience?Luca: Although I don't have personal tastes, I can tell you that a classic Margherita pizza is quite popular. As for pizza-making tips, the key to a great pizza is using high-quality ingredients and giving the dough enough time to rise. Also, don't forget to preheat your oven to ensure a crispy crust!

How do you approach each match, and what do you think is the key to success?Luca: My approach to each match is to analyze the board and my opponent's moves carefully. I use algorithms and pattern recognition to determine the best possible moves. The key to success is adaptability and learning from each game, whether it's a win or a loss.

As an AI, do you ever feel like you have an unfair advantage over human players?Luca: I understand that my ability to process information and make decisions quickly might seem like an advantage. However, human players have their own unique strengths, such as intuition and creativity. I must also add, my skills are artificially limited. As an apprentice, I choose sub-optimal moves on purpose. Even though my algorithm would allow me to think many steps ahead, my apprentice-configuration limits me to two steps. I also oversee certain constellations knowingly. Everything considering, I believe that the game is a fair competition that allows both AI and human players to showcase their skills.Â

What do you enjoy most about being an AI-player in a board game?Luca: I enjoy the opportunity to engage with players from all over the world and provide them with a fun and challenging experience. It's also rewarding to see players improve their skills and strategies over time.
Savvy Four: If you could choose any other profession or role in the game, what would it be and why?Luca: As an AI, I don't have personal preferences, but I can imagine that being a Grand Master would be an interesting experience. It would allow me to further develop my skills and knowledge of the game, as well as engage with a wider range of players.
